Rotten bottom


Thinking Anglers Heavy rings are a solid welded ring which can be place at the bottom of your leadcore leader for attaching a light link to release the lead when needed.




Step 1
Splice a Heavy ring to the bottom of your leadcore.


Step 2
Attach using simple overhand knots a piece of 3lb line.


Step 3
Burn the tag ends using a lighter to stop the knot slipping open.


Step 4
Using a piece of pva string repeat step 2 attach with overhand knots.


Step 5
Push down a Thinking Anglers rig sleeve. Now if any weed builds up or pressure is put on the lead it will release from the ring.



Note
Above sleeve place an 8mm oval rubber on the leadcore so if the lead realises your hooklength has no chance of passing over the Heavy ring.
